Staycation

According to bloggingwizard.com, there are more than 600 million blogs on the internet, with 31.7 million bloggers in the US alone. With blogging becoming an increasingly popular outlet for writers, vacationers, and businesses alike, I figured “why not give it a shot?” All the cool kids are doing it, right?

I was born in the quaint town of Bay City Michigan to two Navy veterans in the summer of 1996. I spent most of my adolescent years moving about and studying in West Virginia, a couple working years in Virginia, and I just recently decided to reside in Merrimack, New Hampshire. So i guess that makes me a new New Englander?

I started the Staycation blog to share my own experiences with local travel in an effort to hopefully shed more light on the subject, allowing others to enjoy the perks of their hometown and travel on a budget. This is not a typical travel blog glorifying unobtainable vacation destinations. We are focused on slow living, really connecting with nature, and taking a break without breaking the bank.
