Although a little different from my usual topics of discussion on this blog, I have thoroughly enjoyed these works on the subject of self-help and am excited to share them with you!
1. “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey. This famous manual is focused more in the business aspect of effectiveness, but is very helpful for learning tips and tricks on how to manage your life through 7 Habits that build upon themselves.
2. “Unf*ck Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Life” by Gary John Bishop. I enjoyed this one because it got straight to the point. Not extremely wordy and super helpful for changing your mindset. This particular book gave me the inspiration to actually start this blog!
3. “Codependent No More” by Melody Beatty. This book provides actual examples and solutions. Recommended by my mother, I discovered it after listening to a podcast with a similar title: Codependency No More by Brian Pisor. If you’re into podcasts, this is worth a listen! It’s packed with interviews with actual clients and therapists.
4. Any of Rupi Kuar’s poetry. These are nice for light reading and share the authors growth through different stages of her life. She also speaks out about a few political issues regarding women. They are very emotional and raw. Loved experiencing every word.

As I continue flipping through the pages of numerous guides, I will share them here. Happy reading!
